Após inaugurar uma nova loja na Vila Madalena, a estilista Fernanda Yamamoto percebeu que a iluminação não valorizava a arquitetura nem as roupas e objetos da marca. Os arquitetos também sentiram a necessidade de que a luz se integrasse mais ao conceito da loja. Assim, desenvolvemos uma nova proposta de iluminação a partir do diagnóstico da situação existente, em diálogo com a arquitetura e os elementos expostos.
Partimos da ideia de que a luz deveria preencher os planos verticais, ainda que os acabamentos fossem escuros, para conferir melhor percepção espacial. Os tetos receberam luz indireta, criando uma camada suave que unificava os espaços e eliminava a sensação de escuridão. As araras foram destacadas por dois ângulos de incidência de luz: um vindo do chão, rente à parede, e outro partindo do teto, com ângulo mais frontal, evitando sombras indesejáveis.
Manequins, bases e provadores também receberam luz de destaque por meio da utilização de projetores em LED com excelente reprodução de cor, conferindo unidade visual ao ambiente. O projeto de iluminação contribuiu para a valorização da diversidade de formas e cores propostas pela estilista.
After opening a new store in Vila Madalena, stylist Fernanda Yamamoto realized that the lighting did not enhance either the architecture or the brand’s clothing and objects. The architects also felt that the lighting was not sufficiently integrated with the store’s concept. We therefore developed a new lighting proposal based on an assessment of the existing conditions, in dialogue with the architecture and the displayed elements.
We started from the idea that light should fill the vertical planes, even when the finishes were dark, improving spatial perception. The ceilings received indirect lighting, creating a soft layer that unified the spaces and eliminated the feeling of darkness. The clothing racks were highlighted through two lighting angles: one coming from the floor, close to the wall, and another from the ceiling with a more frontal angle, avoiding undesirable shadows.
Mannequins, display bases, and fitting rooms also received accent lighting through the use of LED projectors with excellent color rendering, creating visual unity throughout the store.
The lighting design contributed to enhancing the diversity of shapes and colors proposed by the stylist.
